In this draft video, I made a lot of the scenes shorter, which would make the video flow faster and more fluently. Not only did I do this, I also added some more zoomed and panning shots to some that wee still for quite a while to try and break it up and give it some more movement. I also added in the song title and artists name in the beginning of the video. Doing this makes the video seem more professional. Not only does it make the video seem more professional, but I also made sure that I used one of the fonts that I used in my digipak and poster, this increases the consistency in the different forms of media. Lastly, I added the Logo for the album at the end of the video, I done this so that there is more consistency in the digipak, poster and music video, which allows people to link the three together.

In this draft, some of the shots were cleaned up as they crossfaded and overlapped with other shots, which I didn't want them to do. I also made some more shots even shorter, I done this after watching the video a couple of times and decided that it had to be done.

In this draft, I added in the visualizers behind the singers which livened the scenes of the artists up. I also added more shots of the singers as there want many. Lastly, I shortened some of the shots as they lingered on too long and started to kill the vibe of the video.

Here is our second draft music video. I still need to edit the background of the singers, which was discussed in a previous post. I still also need to add more sections where the singers are singing, bcuase there are only three sections here the singers are introduced. This means that i need to cut sections of the story/dancing to allow for room for the singers.

This is the first draft of our music video. We still need to film some parts of the video as the two people who are singing in the video have been unavailable lately, so I edited it ready so when we finish filming the singers we can just add them in.

Green Screen Practise

Here is a short video that we created experimenting on the green screen. We done this because we are considering using the green screen and want to make sure that we know how to use it correctly before we actually use it for our video.

Experimental Editing

We experimented the use of some different editing techniques in Final Cut Pro, and this video is the result.

We learnt how to changed the speed of a video clip, how to crop, rotate and scale a video clip, how to create and add colour corrections and how to edit jump shots.

We not only learnt how to use these editing techniques but we learnt why we would use them. For example, to use slow motion to emphasise an action. The use of a black and white colour correction to add to the dull atmosphere of the video content. Using jump cuts to break up "boring" sections of the video.
